In it, we got to see Rick escape the mental and physical prison the Galactic Federation had him in, using his ingenuity and fearlessness take down the Federation, turning a 1 into a 0 destroy the Citadel of Ricks, transporting it in the middle of a Galactic Federal prison go nuts for McDonald's Szechuan teriyaki dipping sauce, which was offered for a limited time by the fast food chain to promote Disney's 1998 animated film Mulan and get revenge on his son-in-law, purposely manipulating Beth so that she would leave Jerry for good. Taking everyone by surprise, with no official announcement leading up to it, Adult Swim debuted the Season 3 premiere on April Fools' Day - running the 22-minute-long episode (not including the non-canonical sketches) on a loop for hours.
